We foster an environment where staff feel empowered to speak up, share ideas and contribute to service improvement, supported by our dedicated in-house education team. Learning, development and continuous improvement are embedded in our ward culture, enabling individuals to grow and succeed.
We are looking for people who are proactive, kind and committed to doing the right thing, even when working under pressure.
If you value hard work, shared purpose and being part of a supportive, inclusive team, then Ward 4 is the place for you.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our busy Ward 4, specialising in Neurology, Renal, Rheumatology and General Medicine.
You will be part of a supportive, value-led multidisciplinary team, committed to delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care. We welcome applicants who are hard-working, compassionate, reliable and motivated to learn, and who take pride in supporting patients and colleagues alike.
Our dedicated education and practice development team provides ongoing training and development opportunities to support your professional growth and help you build new skills within a diverse clinical environment.
This role will suit someone who:
+ Thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting
+ Works well under pressure
+ Is kind, flexible and patient-focused
+ Takes responsibility and pride in their work
Applications are welcomed from candidates who may not currently meet all the essential Band 3 criteria. In these cases, applicants may be appointed at Band 2, with a clear opportunity to progress to Band 3 upon successful completion of additional skills training and competency development.
If you are passionate about delivering excellent care and would like to be part of a ward that values teamwork, learning and compassion, we would love to hear from you., We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant who brings enthusiasm and professionalism to their role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
+ Proven experience as a Healthcare Assistant, ideally within an acute or emergency hospital setting
+ A proactive, can-do attitude, with the ability to recognise what needs doing and take initiative
+ A genuine commitment to learning and development, with a willingness to build skills and knowledge
+ A strong team player who is supportive, respectful, and maintains a positive and professional approach at all times
+ Someone who is kind, reliable and patient-focused, consistently striving to deliver excellent standards of care
In return, we offer a supportive and welcoming team environment, excellent training and development opportunities, and the chance to make a real difference to patients every day. This is an environment where your contribution is recognised, valued, and supported.

Working within Ward 4 at the James Paget University Hospital is both rewarding and strongly team-focused. Guided by our Trust Values, we work collaboratively to deliver the highest standards of care, take accountability for our practice, and treat every patient and colleague with respect, compassion and dignity.
