Full Job Description
Meet Our Client We are building a dedicated care team to support a friendly and engaging gentleman as he prepares to transition from a rehabilitation setting back to his own home in Walkden. He has a great love of music, particularly blues, jazz, and rock, and is a keen Manchester City supporter. He enjoys watching the news, has a strong interest in politics and current affairs, and values meaningful conversation. He is very much looking forward to resuming an active life within his community with the support of his dedicated care team, including visiting some of his favourite local places. We are recruiting support staff for day shifts to be part of his journey home. You will work closely alongside a Registered Nurse to ensure the safe management of his clinical care needs. The role will include supporting with personal care, safe moving and handling, and assisting with his clinical interventions. You will also support his daily routines while encouraging and enabling him to take part in activities that are meaningful and enjoyable to him. Candidates will need to attend training and shadowing at Southport Spinal Injury Unit to support the transition home. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by supporting someone to live comfortably and safely in their own home.
- Minimum 3 months care experience
- Confident with medication administration
- Personal care & moving and handling experience
- Clear communication skills
