Full Job Description

The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check, including barred list information, as this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

South Staffordshire College is looking to appoint a dynamic, energetic, and enthusiastic Health and Social Care Lecturer, who can inspire students and ignite their passion for a career in health and social care. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join our successful Health and Early Years Team.

Qualified teacher rate: To attract the qualified teacher rate of pay, applicants should hold a recognised full FE teaching qualification, such as DiT, PGCE/PGCE FE, Cert Ed, or equivalent. Applicants without a full FE teaching qualification are still welcome to apply and, if appointed, will be supported to work towards one., You will be working with a diverse student population and be expected to demonstrate excellent classroom management techniques in a fast-paced environment, whilst teaching a range of topics such as Equality, Diversity and Rights, Communication, Working in the Health, and Social Care Sector and many more.

The successful applicant will have extensive experience of working in the Health and Care industry and be passionate about their subject. The ideal candidate will be qualified to degree level and hold or be working towards a professional teaching qualification with delivery experience, be driven to ensure excellent student progress and have some knowledge of T-Levels. Applicants from a nursing or midwifery background are particularly welcome and a current nursing qualification is desirable.
