Health and Safety Officer

The Health and Safety Team requires an enthusiastic and motivated Health and Safety Officer to join the Service Level Agreement Team providing health, safety and welfare support to early years. The role will involve a wide variety of duties including carrying out and contributing to the delivery of health and safety services, training, preparation and the development of site-specific procedures and guidance, carrying out risk assessments, health and safety inspections and the production of written reports. For the role, we ask that you have:

• National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent qualification
• Knowledge of current health and safety legislation, codes of practice etc.
• Demonstrable experience of working as a Health and Safety Officer.
• Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to visit various schools/premises
