Undertaking Health & Safety Audits, workplace Inspections and compliance monitoring
Contribute to the development and implementation of the Council's strategic health and safety management systems
Design and embed procedures that promote a positive health and safety culture at every level of the organisation
Provide expert advice, guidance, and training to managers and employees across all services
Ensure robust governance arrangements are in place, maintained, and regularly reviewed.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to lead on specialist areas, including fire safety and other key topics.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive professional to play a key role in developing and delivering council-wide health and safety strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and promoting employee wellbeing across all directorates., You will be a confident and credible health and safety professional support with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. You will have:
Proven experience in delivering health and safety advice within a complex organisation.
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice.
Excellent communication and training skills.
The ability to support a positive and proactive safety culture.
