Health Records Access Clerk

The post holder will undertake various administrative duties associated with the custody and use of Health Records as well as those associated with a patient's admission and/or attendance to the Trust, as outlined in the OP07 Health Records Policy. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support our Health Records Access Team. The Health Records Access Team provides a vital service to the Trust, processing over 5,000 requests annually, including but not limited to:

• Subject Access Requests (SAR)
• Access to Health Records Act requests (AHRA)
• Police requests and court orders
• Continuing care and other hospital requests
• Records for the Coroner and inquests
• Requests from Legal Services
• Understanding of Information Governance
  
  We are looking for 1 Fixed Term (July 26 - Mar 27) enthusiastic person to join our Health Records Access Team . You must be able to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative., Basic knowledge of GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018
• Excellent communication skills
• Working knowledge of Health Records
• Highly organised, self-motivated, and adaptable
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
