Full Job Description
The post holder will take a lead role in the design and delivery of effective health promotion (HP) and behaviour change interventions to both young people and the adult population across Suffolk.
The post holder will lead the health promotion of under-served and marginalised communities namely; People of African/Caribbean Heritage, Commercial Sex Workers (CSW), Men who have sex with men (MSM) and other groups at increased risk of poor sexual health outcomes. Delivery will be through community engagement approaches that tackle HIV/STI related stigma and discrimination. The post holder will also lead the team delivering a comprehensive training offer to support professionals working with under-served groups, and those providing support to young people across Suffolk. This will include the delivery of relationships, sex and health education to educational staff, as well as educational sessions delivered directly to young people.
The role will require working closely with other professionals, organisations and stakeholders, as well as directly with local communities, to meet the needs of key target groups most at risk of poor sexual health and HIV outcomes
