Health Care Support Worker

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills, under the supervision of qualified nurses, caring for patients who are acutely ill with medical conditions. This unit is a busy area that provides an excellent opportunity to deal with patients in a short and medium-term care environment. Experience within the specialty of Medicine is desirable but not essential. The post is rotational between day and night duty. This post is fixed term/secondment for 2 years to cover a career break. If you are interested in applying for it as a secondment, please obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying., Your role will consist of assisting and supporting the Registered Nurses and ward manager and Sisters to deliver excellent patient centred care., The Health Board currently operate a number of different shift systems. The most common are a 12.5 hour shift, inclusive of either one 30 minute or two 30-minute unpaid breaks. These shift patterns are subject to review and the Health Board reserves the right to change working arrangements.
