This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team and play a key role in shaping and developing a modern service from day one. We have5 full-time and 1 part-time positionavailable and would love to hear from motivated individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality care to patients requiring rapid surgical assessment, treatment, diagnostics and same-day emergency care. The new unit has been designed to improve patient experience, reduce delays and ensure patients receive the right care at the right time from dedicated surgical specialists. The Surgical Assessment Unit is a dedicated 24-hour service providing assessment, investigation and treatment for patients with acute surgical conditions who require short-term observation and management. The unit works closely with surgical teams across General Surgery, Urology, ENT, Breast Surgery, Orthopaedics and Plastics to deliver timely, patient-centred care. As one of our Healthcare Assistants, you will play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their assessment and treatment journey.

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, personal care and comfort.
• Record and report clinical observations, escalating concerns appropriately.
• Support patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Assist with specimen collection and basic clinical duties within your competency.
• Undertake cannulation and phlebotomy.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
• Help create a safe, clean and welcoming clinical environment.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to delivering an outstanding patient experience.
