Health Care Assistant - Burns ITU

We are looking for a Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our Burns Critical Care team and work alongside a friendly and hard-working multi-disciplinary team to provide excellent patient care, Some of your duties will include:

• To assist with basic nursing care, e.g. washing, moving and handling, mouth care, eye care, testing urine, assisting in pressure area care and generally attending to patient comfort.
• Assist in dressing changes
• Assist patients feeding needs
• Assist with rehabilitation of the burn injured patient
The competencies expected of the post holder may change where specific skills/knowledge are required which are necessary to deliver care within specific clinical areas.

If successful, you will assist in the planning, implementation, evaluation and delivery of care by providing support to registered staff, of severely burnt patients and their families. Patients include both adults and children and so, if you have previous experience working with all ages, you'll be an ideal candidate!
