We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time, term-time Health Care Assistant to join our team at Leicester Grammar School (LGS) Senior School as soon as possible., We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time, term-time Health Care Assistant to join our team at Leicester Grammar School (LGS) Senior School as soon as possible. Working alongside the School Nurses, the successful applicant will help provide a clinically effective, high-quality nursing care and first aid service to pupils and members of the Trust community.

The role will support the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the medical suite office and first aid rooms. Responsibilities will include administrative and clerical duties, maintaining accurate pupil medical records, providing first aid and administering medicines in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.

The post is for 20 hours per week during term-time, including staff INSET days, for 35 weeks per year. We are open to discussion regarding how the 20 hours can be worked for the right candidate across the week., The successful candidate will be subject to appropriate pre-employment safeguarding checks, including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, verification of references, right to work checks and any other checks required for the role and in accordance with current legislation and statutory guidance.

Given the nature of the role, knowledge of safeguarding is desirable, and the successful applicant must be willing to undertake enhanced safeguarding training.
