SURGICAL DEPARTMENT
BAND 2 HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT - Surgical Ward
Post - Full Time
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Surgical Directorate at Ysbyty Gwynedd for a number of permanent Band 2 Healthcare Assistant.
Main duties of the job
- Experience in an Acute Hospital setting would be an advantage, but training will be given.
- The position involves working within the Surgical Unit; this supports both emergency and elective patients' on the surgical pathway.
- The successful candidates will be required to work on an internal rotation contract within the ward environment.
- Applicants must have an approachable manner necessary to deal with patients and their relatives and desirable experience of a hospital environment.
- Applicants will work as part of a team of nurses on the ward and undertake patient care tasks under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered General Nurse responsible for the patient's management.
- The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
