A proven track record of improving outcomes and driving whole-school improvement.
Strong experience leading teaching and learning, curriculum development, safeguarding and pastoral provision.
The ability to inspire, motivate and develop high-performing teams.

Oxford Millwood School is a warm, nurturing setting in North Oxford, providing high-quality education within a close-knit and supportive community. Our experienced team is dedicated to creating a calm, inclusive environment where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish.
Role Purpose
At Oxford Millwood School, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive. We are seeking an exceptional, values-led Headteacher to lead our specialist provision into an exciting new chapter of growth, innovation and achievement. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of a school where inclusion, ambition and student success are woven into every aspect of school life.
We are looking for an inspiring leader who can unite strategic thinking with genuine compassion. Someone who can motivate and empower staff, build meaningful partnerships with families and stakeholders, and foster a culture where every student feels safe, valued and capable of achieving their very best.
As Headteacher, you will provide clear and dynamic leadership across all areas of the school, driving excellence in teaching and learning, safeguarding, operational performance and student wellbeing. You will lead a dedicated and talented team, champion high expectations, and create an environment where curiosity, confidence and aspiration can flourish.
This is more than a leadership role. It is an opportunity to make a lasting impact, shape futures and ensure that every child has the support, opportunities and belief they need to succeed.
What you will be doing
As the leader of Oxford Millwood School, you will:
Set and deliver a clear vision that drives continuous improvement and outstanding outcomes for students.
Lead high-quality teaching, learning and curriculum development across the school.
Ensure students receive personalised support that enables them to succeed academically, socially and emotionally.
Create a culture of high expectations, inclusion, accountability and professional excellence.
Champion safeguarding and student welfare, ensuring children and young people remain safe, supported and empowered.
Lead, develop and inspire a talented team, promoting staff wellbeing and professional growth.
Ensure the school operates effectively, maintaining compliance, financial sustainability and inspection readiness.
Build strong partnerships with families, local authorities and external agencies.
