Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to step into a Head Nurse role within a modern practice This is a rare opportunity to shape the nursing function from day one, creating a positive team culture and ensuring nursing skills are fully utilised across the practice. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, mentoring and developing the nursing team
- Ensuring exceptional standards of patient care and client experience
- Overseeing nurse clinics, inpatient care and theatre standards
- Driving full utilisation of nursing skills, including Schedule 3 procedures
- Supporting student nurses and clinical coaching
- Helping shape practice culture, workflows and clinical standards Hours & Work Pattern
- Full-time: 40 hours per week (average 39 hours)
- 4 x 9-hour shifts
- 1 in 4 weekend rota
- Participation in nurse care night rota (accommodation provided when required)

RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse - Previous senior or leadership experience desirable
- Confident across all areas of clinical nursing
