We are currently seeking a Head of Year (Maternity Cover) to join our dedicated pastoral team. This is a non-teaching role focused on supporting the wellbeing, progress, and development of students within a specific year group.

Position: Head of Year (Maternity Cover)
Type: Non-Teaching
Experience: No previous experience required

Role Overview:
As Head of Year, you will play a key role in creating a positive and supportive environment for students. You will work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure each student's personal development and welfare needs are met effectively.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with young people, parents, and colleagues
- Organised with good time management skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive situations confidentially
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and reporting purposes
- Willingness to learn new systems and processes related to pastoral care

- A genuine commitment to supporting young people's wellbeing and success
- Empathy, patience, and understanding towards diverse backgrounds
- Positive attitude towards teamwork within a busy school environment
