Location: MM Flowers, Pierson Road, Alconbury Weald, Huntingdon, PE28 4YA

Contract: Full-time | 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Shape the future of technical excellence at MM Flowers. We're looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Technical to lead in our technical function at MM Flowers - one of the UK's leading suppliers of fresh-cut flowers to major retailers. In this pivotal role, you\'ll drive the quality, compliance, and innovation agenda across our operations, lead and develop a high-performing technical team, and strengthen our customer partnerships through clear, data-led leadership. You\'ll be a key influencer across the business and play a critical role in our growth and technical reputation in the industry.

What You\'ll Be Doing:

• Leading, coaching, and managing the technical team (including technologists and coordinators)


• Acting as technical account manager for major customers and building strong external relationships


• Overseeing compliance with all relevant safety, legal, and customer standards (HACCP, QMS, etc.)


• Championing continuous improvement and innovation in product quality and technical standards


• Providing data-led insights and reports to operational and senior leadership teams


• Supporting and contributing to the wider business strategy and cross-functional collaboration


• Representing MM Flowers as a technical leader both internally and within the industry

What We\'re Looking For:

• Extensive experience in a senior technical role within cut flowers, food, or manufacturing


• Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, legal compliance, and customer requirements


• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills


• A strategic thinker with the ability to drive continuous improvement


• Proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams


• Commercial awareness and an ability to align technical strategy with business goals
