Full Job Description

Burnley College are looking for an experienced Head of SEND and Inclusion to lead our inclusive strategy and Additional Learning Support (ALS) provision. This is a pivotal leadership role focused on ensuring that all learners-including those with SEND, high needs, and other barriers-can access high-quality teaching, achieve ambitious outcomes, and progress to positive destinations.

You will champion a culture of inclusion across the College, ensuring full compliance with statutory frameworks including the SEND Code of Practice, Equality Act 2010, and safeguarding requirements.

The successful candidate will ideally have a Degree-level qualification: NASENCO or equivalent; safeguarding training. As well as experience of leading inclusion/SEND/ALS in FE; managing High Needs Funding; oversight of exam access arrangements.
