Head of Secondary

We seek an individual to join as Head of Secondary where your focus will be: Providing strategic leadership and direction for the secondary school in line with the IB MYP philosophy and EGA's School Strategic Plan Championing the IB Middle Years Programme and ensuring high-quality, concept-driven and inquiry-based teaching and learning Leading, mentoring and developing a high-performing secondary teaching team through coaching, appraisal and CPD Driving whole-school improvement through effective monitoring, evaluation, data analysis and self-review processes Building strong, positive relationships with students, parents and the wider school community Collaborating with the Principal, MYP Coordinator and SLT to deliver the School Improvement Plan Ensuring excellent student welfare, pastoral care and wellbeing across the secondary school Overseeing timetabling, curriculum planning and academic reporting for the secondary school Promoting student agency, the IB learner profile and

international-mindedness across all year groups The Successful Candidate will possess: A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent) and a relevant degree Significant senior leadership experience in an IB school, with a strong knowledge of the MYP A proven track record of school improvement and raising student outcomes Experience leading, developing and inspiring high-performing teaching teams Excellent data literacy and the ability to use assessment information to drive improvement Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children International school experience, ideally within the Middle East (desirable) Please see full job description here
