Are you an experienced DSL or educational safeguarding leader looking to make a lasting impact? Parklands High School is seeking a proactive Head of Safeguarding to lead strategic child protection practices, oversee online safety, and champion the welfare of every student.

What You'll Do

• Take lead responsibility for whole-school safeguarding, child protection, and online safety as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).


• Manage safeguarding referrals (Integrated Front Door, LADO, Prevent) and lead early help interventions.


• Monitor and analyse safeguarding data on CPOMS to ensure swift, effective responses.


• Lead staff training and CPD, keeping our community up-to-date with current statutory guidance.


• Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the Trust DSL, and multi-agency partners to raise student aspirations and outcomes.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a DSL or safeguarding lead within a school or educational setting.


• Deep knowledge of child protection legislation, early help processes, and multi-agency procedures.


• Outstanding communication, record-keeping, and leadership skills with experience using CPOMS.


• A relevant Level 3 Safeguarding qualification.
