Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic safeguarding leader to join our Nursing and Quality leadership team as Head of Safeguarding. This senior role provides strategic, professional and operational leadership for safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk across the organisation.
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Nursing & Quality, you will lead the Trust's safeguarding agenda, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, national guidance and best practice. You will provide expert advice and assurance to senior leaders and Board committees, oversee the delivery of high-quality safeguarding services, and work closely with partner agencies to improve outcomes for vulnerable people.
This is an excellent opportunity for a registered healthcare or social care professional with significant senior safeguarding experience, strong leadership skills and a passion for improving quality, safety and patient outcomes.
The successful candidate will play a key role in embedding a culture where safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and ensuring safeguarding remains at the heart of clinical practice, governance and service improvement, The Head of Safeguarding provides strategic, professional and operational leadership for safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk across the Trust. The post holder will lead the safeguarding agenda, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met and that safeguarding is embedded within clinical practice, governance, quality improvement and service delivery
