Full Job Description
We are looking to appoint a highly competent Head of RS with strong subject knowledge to support the continuing development of the Humanities curriculum and to join a dynamic and forward thinking department. You will be part of the Humanities subject area consisting of Geography, History, Social Sciences and Religious Studies. All Humanities subjects are popular at both GCSE and at A-Level with the A-Levels in Philosophy & Ethics and in Sociology among the most popular options at Key Stage 5.
Our ideal candidate will have the potential to teach Philosophy & Ethics and/or Sociology and/or Psychology at A-Level as well as Religious Studies at Key Stage 3 and 4. Yours and our commitment to equity, equality, diversity and inclusion
- We are proud to serve communities that are richly diverse and dynamic, and proud of their identities. Our pupils and their families bring languages, cultures, faiths, histories, and experiences from across the world, which we value. We believe that leadership should reflect, understand, and champion the communities it serves. You will be instrumental in doing this.
- As a Multi-school Trust, we are committed to building a workforce that is equitable, representative, and inclusive at every level. We know that talented leaders from some backgrounds remain underrepresented in leadership and Headship. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and we expect all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. This post falls within the scope of regulated activity. Appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS with list checks (and other relevant checks). It is an offence to apply for the role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity with children.
