Head of Regulatory Compliance, Systems and Safety Management

Join Safran Seats GB as our Head of Regulatory Compliance, Business Systems and Safety Management, where you'll lead the systems, standards and governance that keep our business compliant, safe and continuously improving. You'll be a trusted leader, influencing stakeholders across the organisation and helping shape the future of aviation safety.
Working at the heart of the Quality function, you will provide strategic leadership across compliance, governance, audits, safety performance and continual improvement. You'll ensure alignment with key aerospace regulations and standards, including EASA, CAA, AS9100 and Part 21/145 requirements, while driving a proactive safety culture in line with ICAO Annex 19 and Safran governance expectations.
Leading a specialist team and influencing stakeholders across the business, you'll be a trusted expert and change leader, helping to identify, manage and reduce aviation safety risk while ensuring our systems and processes support operational excellence and regulatory confidence.
Responsibilities:Own and continuously improve the Safran Seats GB Business Management System (BMS), ensuring compliance with Safran Group, AS9100, EASA/CAA and customer requirements.Lead regulatory compliance governance, assessing and implementing new requirements across the business.Manage and develop the Quality Compliance, Business Systems and Safety Management team.Act as the organisation's focal point for regulatory compliance, BMS governance and Safety Management System (SMS) performance.Own the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of the SMS, including hazard identification, risk assessment and change management.Develop and oversee internal audit, compliance monitoring and corrective action programmes, while supporting external audits and regulatory reviews.Define, monitor and report BMS/SMS performance, risks, objectives and improvement plans to senior leadership.Promote a strong quality and safety culture through governance, training, stakeholder engagement
and continuous improvement initiatives.What You'll Bring:Strong knowledge of regulatory and quality requirements, (ideally aerospace - including EASA, CAA, AS9100 and Part 21/145 where applicable)Experience managing business management systems, regulatory compliance, certification approvals and audits in a regulated aerospace or manufacturing environmentUnderstanding of safety management principles, including hazard identification, safety risk management, safety assurance and safety promotionExperience defining and reporting quality, compliance and safety performance indicatorsCompetence in audit planning, root cause analysis, corrective action management and risk analysisExperience engaging with regulatory authorities, customers, certification bodies and senior stakeholders
