Full Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Operational Finance specialising in Integration and Improvement, working within the Finance Transformation Board, to support the One LSC Director of Finance in driving the transformation of the finance function, in line with the One LSC vision. This role will facilitate the integration of four distinct finance departments into one cohesive, high-performing unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and drive innovation through technology, to develop a robust and sustainable finance function for the future. A key focus will be on fostering a strong partnership with the digital team and ensuring that finance analytics capabilities are built and embedded into the function to deliver data-driven decision-making., The role will be varied and will adapt over time as the ICB develops. However, the postholder is expected to fulfill the following key functions: 1. Providing leadership, direction and high-level financial advice to the recovery and financial sustainability function that meets the operational and strategic needs of the organisation and is responsive to a constantly changing and evolving environment. 2. To work closely with QIPP Operational Leads to agree savings trajectories and develop robust mechanisms for monitoring delivery. 3. Link the Operational Finance Team to Programme Finance in connecting deliverability of QIPP and Recovery plans ensuring accurate reporting in the financial position. 4. Contributing to the organisation's financial management reporting framework, ensuring business objectives meet both internal and external needs as required. 5. Supporting financial and business commercial awareness in the ICB for the executives, director and clinical/non-clinical managers and taking a lead on relevant training. 6. Delivering objectives in an environment of competing deadlines.Working for our organisation Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB is a complex organisation serving a population of over 1.8 million people. - CCAB qualified accountant and a current member of the respective institute with extensive post qualification experience.
- Experience, knowledge and skills attained across a range of NHS organisations.
- Evidence of leading and implementing change. Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of NHS costing information, techniques and processes.
- Knowledge and understanding of local authority, voluntary organisations and other community partnerships and pooled funding processes.
