Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and inspirational teacher to take the lead in establishing Psychology as an independent department at Crosfields, ahead of the launch of our Sixth Form in September 2027. Psychology has, to date, been taught with great success from within the Science faculty, and the successful candidate will have a pivotal role in shaping its future as a standalone department - designing the curriculum from Year 10 through to a brand-new A Level offer, building department systems and identity from the ground up, and growing and leading a team as pupil numbers increase. This is a rare opportunity for a teacher ready for their first Head of Department post, or an experienced leader seeking a fresh challenge, to build something of their own within a supportive and ambitious school. It is expected that the candidate will enjoy contributing to the whole life of the school.
