Head of Operations

Reporting to the Account Director, this is a senior leadership opportunity with responsibility for operational performance across a complex, multi-service portfolio. The successful candidate will help shape the strategic direction of the contract while ensuring the consistent delivery of excellent services, strong commercial performance and outstanding client outcomes.

As Head of Operations, you will work closely with senior client stakeholders and internal teams to ensure services continue to evolve in line with changing business needs, workplace expectations and sustainability objectives. You will lead a team of operational leaders, creating an environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.

The role offers the opportunity to influence both operational strategy and long-term account development. You will play a key part in identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery, improve operational efficiency and bring new ideas that create value for both the client and Mitie. Alongside this, you will provide leadership across governance, risk management, health and safety, compliance and business continuity, ensuring high standards are maintained across all areas of the contract.

Building strong relationships will be central to success in this role. As a trusted partner to senior client stakeholders, you will help shape workplace experiences that support employee wellbeing, engagement and productivity, while ensuring service excellence remains at the heart of everything we do.

You will also lead the delivery of transformation and change initiatives, championing the use of technology, data and innovation to drive performance improvements, enhance customer experience and support sustainability goals.

We are looking for an experienced and strategically minded Head of Operations to join our leadership team and play a key role in the continued success and development of a major Integrated Facilities Management contract., About YouWe are interested in hearing from individuals who bring significant leadership experience within Integrated Facilities Management, Property Services or a similarly complex operational environment.

You will have a strong track record of managing large, multi-site operations and leading teams through growth, change and transformation. Equally important is your ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, balance strategic priorities with operational delivery and drive positive commercial outcomes.
