Full Job Description
We are currently recruiting a Head of Nursery who will be a dynamic, confident, and visionary leader responsible for the overall strategic and operational management of Lingfield College Nursery. This role ensures the highest standards of care, education, safeguarding, and wellbeing for all children aged 6 months to five years, while aligning with the School's ethos and future ambitions for growth.
The Head of Nursery is accountable for the day-to-day operations, regulatory compliance, staff leadership, and the strategic development of the Nursery, reporting directly to the Head of Prep School and contributing to the wider leadership of the School.
If you enjoy working in partnership with parents, carers and professionals to promote the wellbeing of the children, developing and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, we would like to hear from you.
You will be qualified to Level 3 or higher in childcare and have Deputy Manager, Senior in Charge or prior management experience in a similar early years setting. An excellent working knowledge of the EYFS curriculum is essential, as is an in-depth understanding of Child Protection and Safeguarding procedures. This is a hands-on role which requires excellent planning and organisational skills, along with the ability to manage, motivate and act as a positive role model for the nursery team. A knowledge of the independent school sector would be an advantage but is not essential.
Hours of Work: 45 hours per week between 7.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday on an all year contract
Pension: Nest Pension Scheme
Holidays: 30 days per year plus bank holidays
Closing date: Applications should arrive no later than 9am, Friday 27 June 2025
Interviews are planned for weeks commencing 30 June 2025
