Head of Department: Music Contract term: Permanent Start date: September 2026 Contract type: Full Time Salary: GBP £34,398 - £52,490 + TLR2b (£6,649) MPS/UPS Want to meet our wonderful staff? Click here. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspiring Head of Music to lead our small, highly specialist team. You will provide the vibrant leadership and collaborative energy needed to complement our team's deep technical expertise. Working within the Creative Arts Faculty, you will deliver an industry-facing curriculum, bringing the music world into the classroom through creative enrichment and a student-first approach. The successful candidate will:

  • have the vision to fully develop and support the Music Department.
  • be an inspirational communicator and have the skills to both challenge and encourage students to achieve their potential.
  • be committed to securing positive student outcomes at Key stages 3, 4 and 5.
  • have the ability to think creatively and encourage student engagement.
