The Head of Middle School plays an important role in the life of the School and the care of pupils and has an associate role within the SMT.

You will have responsibility for Year 9-11 girls and Tutors. The role includes leadership of both pastoral care and academic provision.

You will also assume a teaching role, and therefore, excellence, creativity and initiative in the classroom will be considered at interview. English teaching experience would be an advantage, although the School may be able to appoint regardless of any subject specialism, and any questions about this aspect of the role are welcome in advance.

The Head of Middle School leads a team of dedicated Form Tutors. You will also work closely with the Safeguarding team and the Chaplain. The line manager is the Deputy Head Pastoral, and the Deputy Head Academic also forms part of this wider team and supports the academic tasks.
