Full Job Description
Purpose Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Head of Lloyd's & London Market is responsible for developing McLarens' long-established reputation in the London market, managing existing relationships and seeking new opportunities in the general and specialty adjusting arenas. The role requires a wide knowledge of international markets and carries significant involvement with overseas teams, notably those from North America, as well as management responsibility for the wider London Market team. Key Accountabilities
- Lead and coordinate business efforts to protect and enhance McLarens' established reputation in the London Market
- Focus on continued development and expansion of the business's claim solutions for the London market
- Develop and execute regional strategic growth plans for the Lloyd's & London Market, collaborating with local adjusting teams, client services teams, senior leadership teams and London International team
- Develop and execute global specialty line strategic growth plans for the Lloyd's & London Market, collaborating with global specialty line heads
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the market to drive growth and increase market share
- Oversee the weekly activities of the Lloyd's and London Market team, ensuring efficient and effective exposure to the London Market
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients including underwriters, brokers, and other stakeholders within the Lloyd's and London markets
- Provide expert guidance and consultation to clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and client retention
- Monitor market trends, emerging risks, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions and innovation within the business
- Effectively communicate market insights to the organisation, ensuring alignment and proactive response to market changes
- Effectively utilise the CRM system and drive usage through the team, monitoring team performance, leads, opportunities and client engagement
- Undertake projects and other ad hoc work as required Experience and Qualifications

- Wide knowledge of international markets, North America especially
- Excellent communication, presentation, organisational and personal skills
- A proven track record of building strong and trusted working relationships, externally and internally
- Strong stakeholder management with the ability to balance multiple deadlines
- A proven people manager
- Experience of using data reporting and analytical tools e.g., Power BI
