Full Job Description

St Mary's School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Learning Support to lead and organise our Learning Support programmes across the school. This fixed-term, part-time role will be pivotal in ensuring that students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) receive tailored support to thrive academically and personally. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organise comprehensive Learning Support programmes across all year groups.
  • Maintain an accurate SEN register and provision map.
  • Monitor teaching and learning activities to meet the needs of students with SEND.
  • Support and guide Learning Support Assistants in delivering effective support.
  • Assess and identify individual needs, producing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) as required.
  • Full specification within the candidate pack.
  • Person Specification We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in SEND provision, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and external agencies.
