Full Job Description
The Head of Learning Support / SENCO will provide strategic and operational leadership for Inclusive Learning and SEND provision across the College and its campuses, leading the development, implementation and evaluation of relevant policies, systems and practices in line with the SEND Code of Practice (#####), statutory guidance and the College's Achieve and Thrive framework.
The postholder will ensure that learners with SEND, EHCPs, SEMH needs and additional vulnerabilities can access, participate and progress successfully within mainstream curriculum pathways. The role will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that inclusive practice is embedded across all curriculum areas, building a culture of belonging and promoting high aspirations, preparing learners for adulthood, independence, employment and progression.
Qualified to degree level.
GCSE level standard education or equivalent (maths & English).
Recognised SENCO qualification or willingness to work towards it (where applicable).
