Head of Learning Development

We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic colleague who shares our vision of teaching as a vocation, and who will seize an exciting opportunity to work at Rugby School. The successful candidate will lead a large department, act as SENDCO and teach Learning Development lessons to students throughout the School (Sixth Form). The Head of Learning Development will advocate for students with SEND, contribute to the development of strategy, policy and practice in relation to students with SEND and have a significant role in relation to staff training in regard to SEND.

Rugby is renowned for its highly successful and innovative approach to education. As a coaching school we are looking for staff who are committed to a professional obligation to improve as teachers and who value personal growth. We offer a varied programme of professional development, including in-house leadership courses for aspiring middle and senior leaders. Our aim is to ensure our colleagues are prepared well for the next step in their career.
