Head of HR & Support Services

The Head of HR & Support Services is a strategic leadership position and a key member of the Senior Management Team, responsible for shaping and delivering the organisation's people strategy and corporate support services. Reporting directly to the Executive Director and providing assurance to the Board, the postholder plays a pivotal role in ensuring the organisation has the people, systems and infrastructure needed to achieve its strategic objectives.

The role leads the development of a high-performing, inclusive and values-driven culture by ensuring that managers and employees receive proactive support, guidance, coaching and training. A key focus of the position is to strengthen management capability across the organisation, enabling managers to address challenges early, resolve issues effectively and foster positive employee relations, thereby reducing organisational risk and the need for formal intervention wherever possible.

Alongside strategic HR leadership, the postholder has responsibility for overseeing Facilities Management, ICT support and digital systems, Data Protection compliance, Health & Safety administration and compliance, and wider organisational governance responsibilities. The role ensures these functions operate effectively, support continuous improvement and provide assurance that the organisation remains safe, efficient, compliant and fit for future growth.
