Full Job Description

We are seeking an outstanding Part-Time Head of Geography to lead and develop our Geography department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate educator to provide strategic leadership, shape a forward-thinking curriculum, and support the highest standards of teaching and learning across the whole school.

Geography is a vital subject in today's rapidly changing world. Through the study of both human and physical environments, students develop a deeper understanding of global challenges such as climate change, sustainability, migration, urbanisation and resource management.

Geography equips young people with the analytical, decision-making and fieldwork skills needed to interpret an increasingly complex world, while also fostering curiosity, empathy and an awareness of their role as global citizens.

This role is ideal for a motivated professional looking to combine leadership responsibility with a flexible working pattern

Salary: DH1-9 Salary Scale (£31,706.17 - £45,388.40 FTE) plus Responsibility allowance R4 (£1442) and a 3-lesson remission from the teaching timetable.
