The successful candidate will:Lead and manage the Food Technology department, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and achievement.Monitor and evaluate student progress, using assessment data effectively to raise attainment and close gaps.Develop and implement engaging schemes of learning that support progression from Year 7 to Year 11 and beyond.Foster a culture of high expectations, creativity and continuous improvement.Lead, support and develop departmental staff through coaching, mentoring and professional development.Ensure the department is well
resourced, safely managed and fully compliant with health and safety requirements.Work closely with pastoral teams and senior leaders to ensure every student achieves their potential.George Salter Academy is a friendly, happy and vibrant 11-18 academy, serving a multi-cultural community.
