Full Job Description

We are seeking to appoint Head of Food Preparation and Nutrition department. Food Preparation and Nutrition is offered at KS3 and KS4 and is very popular among our students both as a compulsory curriculum subject and as an extra-curricular activity. We also provide enrichment sessions in food preparation and nutrition to our 6th form students. Practical lessons are delivered as double periods in a well-equipped classroom. A full-time Food Technician supports the operations of the department. All cooking ingredients for practical lessons are provided by the school. The position is full-time, however, a part-time option is also available. About Central Foundation: Located on the Old Street Silicon Roundabout and at the heart of the Tech City, the School is a high performing comprehensive. The school was rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in March 2025. The students' outcomes have been consistently exceptional both at KS4 and KS5. We offer a broad curriculum with a focus on academic subjects as well as vocational education. Our extra-curricular provision supports the student experience in classroom. Sport, Music, Drama, Art, Coding, Debating or Cooking are very popular with our students who over the years developed their talents and skills in many subject areas.
