Head of Financial Delivery Unit (subject to banding)

The Financial Delivery Unit is a corporate programme-delivery function that provides oversight and assurance for QEH's cost improvement portfolio.This post plays a pivotal role in supporting financial sustainability and organisational performance. The Head of Financial Delivery Unit leads the governance, reporting and delivery framework, partnering with clinical divisions and corporate areas to ensure schemes are robust, strategically aligned and delivered with appropriate oversight.Main duties of the job The Financial Delivery Unit is responsible for monitoring and reporting against the Trust's cost improvement programme (CIP), identifying areas of challenge. The key functions of the role include:

• Lead the programme on a day-to-day basis in order to monitor, drive and challenge the delivery of the cost improvement programme.
• Establish and maintain strong governance, processes and standardised documentation for all projects and programmes
• Formally review and challenge project documentation and outcomes.
• Capture lessons learnt from previous projects to develop and build organisational knowledge and experience
• Provide progress reports against planned delivery, performance, metrics and agreed milestones to all key stakeholders (internal and external)
