Full Job Description
Spectrum Brands is a ~$3B global consumer products company with a portfolio of trusted, market-leading brands including Remington, Russell Hobbs, Black & Decker, George Foreman and PowerXL. Operating across multiple categories and channels, the business combines strong brand heritage with a focus on growth, innovation, and expanding its direct-to-consumer presence.
In the UK & Ireland, the business is fast-paced, collaborative, and commercially driven, offering real opportunity to influence performance and shape outcomes.
This is a high-impact, commercially focused Head of Finance role supporting the UK & Ireland business. Sitting at the heart of decision making, you'll own the financial agenda for the region and play a key role in shaping both performance and strategy across a complex, multi-channel environment.
The Role
You'll take full ownership of the P&L, bringing together a deep understanding of performance with a forward-looking, driver-based approach to forecasting. From analysing variances and margin drivers to identifying risks and opportunities, your focus will be on turning insight into action that drives commercial outcomes.
Partnering closely with Sales and cross-functional teams, you'll influence pricing, promotional investment, and customer strategy, particularly across the growing DTC channel. You'll build a clear view of profitability, connecting cost-to-serve, trade investment, and product mix to ensure the business is making the right decisions on where and how to win.
You'll lead the budgeting and planning cycle for the region, aligning stakeholders and ensuring plans are grounded in robust assumptions. As finance lead within the S&OP process, you'll connect demand, supply, and financial performance, ensuring decisions are both operationally and commercially sound. You'll also support investment decisions, from customer plans to capex, with clear visibility on returns and strategic alignment.
A key part of the role is influence. You'll be a visible voice across the UK business, presenting performance, shaping the narrative, and enabling better decision making. You'll also help build financial capability across non-finance teams, making finance accessible, relevant, and actionable.
Alongside this, you'll ensure strong governance and control across areas such as rebates, trade terms, and working capital, bringing rigour without slowing the business down. You'll dig into performance challenges, identifying root causes and driving actions across pricing, promotions, service, and distribution.
With ownership, visibility, and a seat at the leadership table, this role offers the opportunity to shape both performance and direction.
You're a qualified accountant with strong post-qualified experience in a commercial finance role, ideally within a fast-paced, multi-channel consumer or retail environment. You're comfortable owning a P&L and being accountable for performance, not just reporting on it.
You combine strong analytical capability with commercial instinct, moving quickly from data to insight and from insight to action. You're confident working in a fast-changing environment, bringing clarity and structure where it's needed most.
You're a natural business partner, able to build credibility, challenge constructively, and influence decisions at all levels. You communicate with impact, whether that's presenting to senior stakeholders or working day-to-day with commercial teams, and you take pride in making finance meaningful to the wider business.
Detail matters to you, but so does pace. You're proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable operating with autonomy. You enjoy being part of a collaborative environment and contributing beyond your immediate remit.
If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely shape performance, work closely with commercial teams, and be part of a business that values ownership, pace, and impact-this is a great opportunity to step into a true finance leadership role.
