Full Job Description
Reporting into and sometimes deputising for the Senior Head of Finance, providing financial management advice, challenge and support to care groups within the Humber Health Partnership.
This role will be supported by a care group finance team, broadly covering budget-setting, monthly budget reporting, forecasting, cost improvement plans and business cases., 1. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of professional advice to senior managers within the Care Group, Senior Head of Finance and Operational Directors of Finance.
2. Production of timely and accurate financial management information e.g. monthly Care Group financial statements to the prescribed deadline.
3. Production of meaningful financial reports advising all Specialties within the Care Group on their financial and activity performance. This will include financial forecasting for the financial year.
4. Alongside the Care Group Senior Management Team, Senior General Managers and Senior Head of Finance actively contribute to the strategic development of services.
5. Providing appropriate financial leadership to ensure the effective functioning of the Care Group.
6. Production and/or presentation of reports to the Care Group Triumvirate and Specialties.
7. Negotiate on behalf of the Care Group with internal and external bodies including ICBs and NHSE, other Trusts and Private Contract Providers.
8. Supervision of the Care Group finance support staff.
9. Proactively supporting the Care Group in the achievement of its savings targets, including evaluating ideas and influencing the outcome of savings schemes.
