Head of Estates

Professionally accountable for all aspects of Estates Technical Services and Capital Development for Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, including, Fire Safety, Waste and Sustainability, and associated contract management. Responsible for ensuring the provision of a safe, supportive and sustainable environment for patients that is maintained in accordance with any statutory or mandatory requirements including a CQC rating of "GOOD" as a minimum standard. Responsible for ensuring all associated policy and procedures are developed, reviewed and implemented as required. Must be prepared to support and cover for other Estates and Facilities Divisional functions as required within the range of skills, knowledge and experience as agreed with the Managing Director. For the avoidance of doubt, Technical Services includes: o Asset Management (Mechanical, Electrical and Building) o Compliance o Capital Development (Minor / Major Works) o Medical Engineering o Fire Safety (HTM 05-01), 2.1 Provide and promote effective professional leadership to ensure the delivery of cost-effective customer orientated services to the Trust and other NHS organisations in accordance with the established service level agreement
