Full Job Description
We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and inspiring Head of English on a full time permanent basis from September 2026 onwards.
Th department offer both English Language and English Literature at GCSE and A Level following the AQA and CIE syllabuses at GCSE and AQA/OCR at A Level.
The English department enjoys strong examination results at both GCSE and A level and benefits from specialised resources, with a growing portfolio of impressive educational visits. We deliver our curriculum in small classes and have high standards of student behaviour and strong parental support.
The department is composed of a committed and friendly team and we are looking for someone who demonstrates a genuine love of literature, language and learning.
The department has enjoyed recent success in national debating competitions and has a strong tradition in Performing Shakespeare.
