Full Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Head of Education and Learning to lead and develop an inspiring programme of environmental education and learning across the Tees Valley.
As a senior leader within the organisation, you will shape and deliver our vision of connecting people with nature, inspiring young people, schools and communities to understand, value and care for the natural world.
Combining strategic leadership with practical delivery, you will oversee a high-quality programme of learning and youth engagement, including both site-based and outreach activities.
A key focus of the role will be developing accessible, engaging and hands-on learning experiences, particularly for school-aged children, while supporting learning and development opportunities for people of all ages. You will lead work with schools, young people and those who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training), ensuring our programmes are inclusive, impactful and responsive to community needs.
You will also be responsible for identifying and securing funding opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, generating income and supporting the practical delivery of projects and activities. As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will contribute to organisational strategy, planning and performance, helping to drive the Trust's mission and long-term success.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic leader who is passionate about education, youth engagement and creating meaningful connections between people and nature.
