Full Job Description
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed, and well-qualified individual to join our Design and Technology Department, in our busy and thriving Senior School.
You will teach Design & Technology across Years 9-13, delivering the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum at Key Stage 4 and Cambridge A-Level and International Baccalaureate programmes in the Sixth Form.
The department is vibrant, popular, and exceptionally well resourced, providing staff and students with access to modern, innovative equipment. Students demonstrate high levels of engagement and achievement, and the department enjoys a strong reputation within the school.
Due to the need to keep our options open, and potential internal movement, we are looking for candidates to indicate whether it would be the Head role or the Teacher role that they would be interested in, as part of their application.
In addition to the above duties, the Head of Department will provide strong academic leadership, shaping curriculum delivery and driving continued success and innovation. The Teacher of Design & Technology role is also suitable for Early Career Teachers, who will benefit from Taunton School's comprehensive and supportive induction and development programme.
We aspire to deliver exceptional every day, whilst creating a welcoming and supportive environment where individuals can thrive, find their exceptional, and be celebrated. Our 3 cornerstone values are Humility, Engagement and Kindness. If this sounds like a cultural fit for you, and you meet the job requirements, we would love to hear from you.
