Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and accomplished senior-level project leader to join our UK&I Project team and play a pivotal role in delivering a key infrastructure project for one of our government clients. This role will provide strategic leadership across a complex, multi-faceted programme, ensuring delivery aligns with both organisational and client objectives., We are seeking a leader who can set clear project vision, manage senior stakeholders, and drive high-value outcomes through effective governance, financial control, and risk management. Acting as the key link between executive leadership and delivery teams, the role focuses on strategic oversight rather than day-to-day project management.,
- Define the strategic direction for large-scale projects and programmes, translating business objectives into actionable delivery plans
- Provide executive-level oversight across multiple interlinked projects, ensuring alignment with client and corporate priorities
- Act as the primary liaison between executive leadership, sponsors, clients, and project teams
- Oversee resource allocation, interdependencies, and programme governance structures
- Lead stakeholder management, escalation, and executive reporting, including progress updates and briefings
- Manage programme budgets, funding approvals, cost forecasting, and financial controls
- Identify, assess, and mitigate delivery, commercial, and compliance risks
- Lead, mentor, and develop project managers and functional leads, fostering high-performing teams and a culture of accountability
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline - Master's degree or MBA - preferred
- PMP - preferred; PRINCE2 and Agile certifications advantageous
- Fully conversant with SAFE 03 and SAFE 04 standards
- Fully conversant with relevant fire safety and building safety legislation, including:
- Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
- Fire Safety Act 2021
- Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022
- Building Safety Act 2022
- Fire Risk Assessments, means of escape, fire doors, emergency planning, training, and equipment maintenance
- Experience in project or programme management
- Some leadership experience delivering large-scale, cross-functional projects
- Proven experience managing budgets exceeding £10m
- Proven track record delivering construction contracts through various procurement routes
- Strong knowledge of UK construction frameworks, regulatory requirements, and NEC4 contracts
- Strong commercial awareness and market insight
- UK driving licence with flexibility to travel as required
