Background
Agilio Software Group is a leading UK healthcare operations software provider, delivering integrated, mission-critical solutions that support primary care, dental, pharmacy, hospital, and veterinary organisations. With ambitious growth plans underway, we are looking for talented individuals to join us on this exciting journey.
The Role
Agilio's content is central to how we support healthcare professionals, improve clinical quality, and deliver trusted products across Primary Care, Dental, Hospital, and SME markets. It also underpins growth, supports expansion into new sectors and geographies, and is increasingly important to how we use AI.
The Head of Content Strategy leads a single, unified content team spanning all sectors. The role sets strategy, governance, and the operating model, and is accountable for content across all clinical and compliance activity. It is a part-time, strategic leadership role (approximately 0.4-0.5 FTE). The aim is to make Agilio's content structured, modular and reusable, so it can be adapted quickly across sectors and geographies, and is clinically credible, high quality, commercially strong and AI-ready.
Key Responsibilities
Vision & Strategy
- Own and deliver Agilio's cross-sector content strategy, so content is structured, modular and reusable across sectors, geographies and customer types
- Ensure the same core content can support learning, in-product guidance, compliance workflows, and AI features
- Make it easier and faster to adapt content for new markets, sectors, and products
- Set a multi-year innovation agenda (AI, structured content, new learning formats) that supports sector expansion and international growth
Team & Operating Model
- Lead a single, unified content team, line managing the three roles that run it day to day: Senior Editor (Informational Content), Senior Editor (Learning Content), and Content Ops Manager
- Operate at approximately 0.4-0.5 FTE, holding strategy, priorities, and escalations while day-to-day ownership sits with the Senior Editors
- Support content producers across the team, fostering broader skills and clear progression pathways
- Champion practical use of AI tools to support the team, with hands-on content creation remaining central to every role
Content Governance & Quality
- Embed a single governance framework for clinical and learning content, building on existing Primary Care and Dental frameworks
- Ensure consistency, clinical accuracy, and regulatory compliance across all content types, platforms, and jurisdictions, with auditability, traceability, and versioning at scale
- Maintain Agilio's reputation for high-quality, trusted, evidence-based content
Clinical Leadership & Expertise
- Oversee the SME clinical lead pool (Primary Care, Dental, and emerging-market leads), responsible for clinical, quality, academic, and accreditation requirements
- Ensure clinical experts are supported by standardised agreements and project administration
- Support external clinical relationships (e.g., NICE, NHS England), with clinical leads owning them
Content Estate & Production
- Maintain awareness of existing content across products and identify reuse opportunities
- Improve the production process, reducing unnecessary steps and duplication
- Own standards, frameworks, templates, and ways of working for content
Innovation & AI
- Ensure content is well structured and tagged for AI features and tools
- Explore AI-assisted content creation and new formats, using insights to measure impact and inform strategy
Cross-Functional & External Collaboration
- Partner with Product and Engineering to align content strategy and influence tooling and workflow improvements
- Collaborate with Business stakeholders, prioritizing their input while maintaining content ownership
- Provide strategic guidance to Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing on content and sector insights
Commercial & Customer Impact
- Support commercial goals through content packaging, bundling, and cross-sell opportunities
- Demonstrate the value and ROI of content investments, ensuring alignment with customer and regulatory needs

- Content Strategy & Leadership
- Digital Learning & E-Learning Expertise
- Content Governance & Quality Assurance
