Experteer Overview In this role you lead the Community Editorial team to amplify readers' voices across Telegraph platforms, shaping how audiences influence journalism. You will own the community strategy and collaborate with the Head of Community to develop products that boost subscriber loyalty, retention, and new acquisitions. You will drive cross-format editorial output, engage with journalists and readers, and guide data-informed initiatives that strengthen the Telegraph's reader community. This is a mission-driven, fast-paced opportunity to impact audience relationships and growth at a leading UK publisher. Pay / Benefits

  • Develop and oversee the Community team's editorial and community strategies aligned with subscriber growth Lead and line manage the Deputy Head of Community Editorial and Community Editors Foster deeper engagement between journalists and readers to support loyalty and acquisition Oversee editorial output and community activity to meet standards and style Plan editorial forward for major news stories and events Contribute to editorial products and initiatives affecting commenters and communities, coordinating with external suppliers Establish and document best practices for editorial community products and initiatives Commission and use data and insights to inform journalism and strategies, and evaluate community content and initiatives Tasks Strong leadership skills Knowledge of and interest in the news agenda and current affairs Experience of writing, commissioning, editing or publishing highly engaging editorial content for multiple formats and platforms Excellent editorial judgement and strong understanding of media law as it applies to journalism Deep understanding of The Telegraph's subscribers, brands and journalistic values Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders Proactive, enthusiastic approach to initiating and pushing through projects Key requirements dynamic working opportunities medical cover six months fully paid maternity leave enhanced paternity/partner leave life assurance season ticket loans
