£85,884 to £97,862, per year. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic leader to join our senior team overseeing the delivery of Building and Waste services for Swansea., You will be responsible for repairs, maintenance and compliance in all Council buildings,construction projects including Housing and Schools, our trades Apprenticeship Scheme, Waste collections, recycling and enforcement.

The successful candidate will have a track record of leading and improving services. This is a senior leadership role that requires a high level of negotiation skills, motivational ability and the flexibility to deal with highly complex issues. A high level of tact, diplomacy and political awareness is also required enable effective working across departments and organisational boundaries.

The role is open to individuals with significant senior experience in Building and/or Waste. The ideal candidate will have a professional background in at least one of these areas. An ability to understand, work with and learn from people will be important.
