A fantastic opportunity has become available at Pixieland Nurseries. We are looking for a Nursery Room leader at our Plymouth nursery, to fit well within their friendly team and learn skills on the job whilst supporting children's play, learning & development. We are looking for a professional attitude, but with a sense of fun and excitement as this allows our children to thrive within our nursery family environment. The hours for this role are 45 hours per week Monday to Friday

Purpose of post

· To ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children in the nursery

· To give support to other team members within the nursery and lead the room with your team

· To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop

Main duties

· Leading and supporting your team

· Creating programmes and activities for the children

· Keep records of children's development and liaise with parents

· Upholding safeguarding practices with your team

· Preparing and maintaining environments to meet children's needs

· Supporting your team to develop their role with the help of your manager

· Complete transfer documents and ensure they meet EYFS requirements

· Good communication

· Able to use a computer/tablet

· Leadership

Qualifications:

Must hold NVQ level 3 in childcare or above

Minimum of 2 years experience in childcare
