Head Librarian
SO1 (SCP 23-25) £34,434 - £36,363
Actual Salary: £29,747 - £31,413
Contract: 37 Hours Per Week, Term Time Only + 1 Working Week
The Ruth Gorse Academy is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague for the role of Head Librarian. This role is crucial to our work as an Academy. The successful applicant will be expected to manage and develop the library, providing a suitable environment for structured and independent learning for both staff and students within the academy, and to maintain a stock of learning resources that reflect current curriculum needs.
Potential applicants should have:
· Grade C/4 and above in GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
· A qualification or experience in librarianship at a professional level.
· A passion for working with young people to improve literacy and develop wider learning skills.
