Full Job Description

  • Provide administrative support to the HE Disability Service Manager.
  • Managing the generic email inbox.
  • Prioritise students requiring DSA (Disabled Students Allowance) assessment and NMH (Non-Medical Help).
  • Support Service Manager with DSA applications, following up with Student Finance England.
  • Provide first line support to students, parents / carers and internal and external organisation enquiries as required
  • Filtering incoming calls/emails and correspondence, signposting to relevant staff/department
  • Accurately recording DSA student data on department and college databases as required
  • Provide support with DSA NMH claims process
  • Maintaining confidential filing systems
  • Manage a booking system for NMH support and Specialist Tutor 1:1
  • Networking with other Administrators and members of the College to ensure Best Practice is maintained across the College
  • Any other duties commensurate with the grade for the post as requested by the Line Manager, Department or Director of Education Support Operations., employment will be subject to a number of conditions including a requirement for providing
  • satisfactory references. In line with KCSIE and having regard to all relevant guidance, a range of checks and online searches will also be conducted for successful candidates, and a satisfactory DBS Enhanced Disclosure will need to be obtained as a requirement of the job.

  • GCSE Maths and English grade C or above
  • Level 2 ICT
  • Experience in an administrative capacity
  • Good IT skills and competent use of MS Office
  • software package
  • Customer Service experience
  • Ability to use database
  • IT Literate (especially proficient in the use of Excel, Word and MS Teams
  • Excellent use of email systems
